To receive the airdrop on 26 June 2024, you must hold MTL in a non-custodial wallet or with an exchange that supports the airdrop before 24 June 2024. For security and ease, we recommend holding MTL on Webauth Wallet, developed by Metallicus, the team behind Metal L2.

How to Receive the MTL Airdrop on the Webauth Wallet

1. Download Webauth:

   • Available on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Create Your Webauth Account:

   • Creating your account is easy and straightforward. If you prefer to follow a guide, you can find it here.

3. Verify Your Identity:

   • Visit the Metallicus Identity website and select to connect with Webauth.

   • Follow the detailed guide for verification if you need further guidance.

4. Deposit MTL:

   • Open the wallet and locate the network selector at the top. Switch to the Ethereum network.

   • Click on the Receive button

   • Select Ethereum and click on the copy icon or Share Your Address button to copy the deposit address.

   • Go to the withdrawal page of your exchange/service/wallet, paste the copied address, and send MTL to this address.

Alternatively, you can also deposit MTL to the XPR Network in WebAuth Wallet, where it is listed under the ticker XMT. If you hold XMT during the snapshot, you will not receive an airdrop. However, you will be able to withdraw directly to the Metal L2 network, eliminating the need for an airdrop.

Webauth will natively support the Metal L2 network, allowing you to switch to the Metal L2 network once the network has been integrated. Thus there will be no need to add the network manually. Your MTL balance will appear on the Metal L2 mainnet automatically.

How to Receive the MTL Airdrop on Other Ethereum-Based Wallets
